When Richard Snyder is diagnosed with dementia, his daughter Emma begins documenting  their time together and the nightmarish elder care system she is forced to take on in order to secure the care he needs — before he loses his memories and his entire life savings. As Richard’s disease progresses, Emma brings his voice to life through Richard’s alter ego, the protagonist of his unfinished novel.
